This standard type all metal self locking nut is a one piece self locking nut.  The Locking feature of the standard type all metal self locking nut is obtained by the de-pitched self-locking slot found on the turret portion of the nut.
When installed on the application the slotted turret section reverts to its original form and the slot grips the shank / thread of the bolt.

The self locking feature of this standard type nut has many advantages ensuring that the bolt is not damaged, high resistance to vibration and is a reusable product.  It also has a high resistance to temperature and can be used in volatile environments with temperatures ranging from -200^oC to +400^oC (depending on material and finishes).

Standard type all metal self locking nuts are stocked in Metric threads only (other thread types may be available to order only).

Metric standard type all metal self locking nuts are available in stainless steel A2-70 & A4-80 and in steel grades 5, 8 & 10.
The standard type all metal self locking nuts can also be manufactured to order in Brass, Bronze, Light Alloy and Titanium.

All listed sizes are are available in 5 to 7 days depending on current stock levels.
