4 Prong Tee Nuts also commonly known as T Nuts and Pronged Nuts For Wood are a sturdy low cost product used within wood and plastic.
The tee nut has a flange at one end with pointed prongs protruding, the 4 prongs hold the tee nut flush and captive in the material, locking and preventing rotation during assembly.  The thin long internally threaded body of the tee nut is inserted into a pre-drilled hole providing a suitable means of connecting and holding workpieces in place.
4 prong tee nuts are inserted by tapping a round hole into the material and tapped into place using a hammer, t nut gun or full installation system.
