6 Lobe Pin TX Cap Thread Rolling Screws

6 Lobe Pin TX Cap Thread Rolling Screws, to DIN 7500, are designed to form their own internal threads in sheet metal and other malleable materials.

These screws can be driven into a pilot hole without the need for thread tapping as a separate process – an extruded hole may provide extra length for improved retention.

This is achieved by the three-lobe or trilobular thread design which forms the threads when fastened. Excess material is pushed into relief areas of the screw to improve screw retention and vibration resistance.

Thread rolling screws also help to avoid loose chips that are caused by other thread cutting processes.

6 Lobe Pin TX Cap Thread Rolling Screws provide a medium level of security and tamper resistance at a relatively low cost. They offer greater protection compared to standard hexalobular drives as they require a 6 Lobe Pin TX wrench or insert bit for installation.

These components are manufactured from Steel Zinc Plated as standard, with Steel Black Plated available on request. Available at Fastenright in thread sizes M4 to M6, with lengths up to 30mm.

Non-standard sizes, materials and finishes are available to order as specials, including small volume manufacture, modifications and bespoke parts made to drawings. Minimum order quantities apply.
