Button Head Seal Screws are available with a socket or Torx drive, offering the ultimate in high performance and reliability for a wide range of applications where the potential for contamination is a concern.
Harsh environments can be detrimental to the efficiency of your product, not least the screws used. Traditionally they are easily damaged by environments that are wet or cold, dry or hot or those contaminated with particles in the air. It is impossible to avoid these getting inside a traditional screw where particles such as sand, water and earth can work their way through the smallest gaps.
Button Head Seal Screws solve this problem through the use of a rubber “O” Ring located under the head of the screw. This acts as a seal which completely surrounds the underpart of the button head, forming a perfect seal. The need for additional fixatives such as adhesive are also avoided meaning that reuse of the screw is easy and dismantling of the product is a quick job. The tight lock with metal on metal contact gives additional strength to the screw when in place.
Button heads offer easy driving to ensure a straight finish along the thread. Both the Socket Button Seal Screw and the Torx Button Seal Screw are assembled with the “O” Ring and ready to use, only requiring the appropriate driver. The button cap extends over the opening of the screw hole for additional protection, which combined with the resilient seal adds another dimension to the benefits of this fastener.
Button Head Seal Screws are made to order only in a range of sizes and materials, with other drive types also available on request. Please call or use the online enquiry form to request a quotation.
