Security Pin TX Button Reduced Thread Captive Screws

Security Pin TX Button Reduced Thread Captive Screws feature a tamper-proof Pin Torx drive and are often utilised for safety purposes – required by EU law for a range of safety equipment.

These components host a reduced thread which prevents the screws from being fully removed from their housing. They are installed with a 6 Lobe Pin TX wrench or insert bit and are typically used alongside Threaded Captive Washers to create a self-retaining fastener.

The pin hexalobular drive, also known as security TX, is designed to significantly reduce the risk of tampering and theft. Standard 6 Lobe Button Head Captive Screws are also available at Fastenright.

Security Pin Torx Button Reduced Thread Captive Screws are widely used in machinery, service panels, and applications that require additional security.

Manufactured from A2 / 304 Stainless Steel and A4 / 316 Stainless Steel as standard. Other materials such as Aluminium and Titanium are available to order on request.

Available at Fastenright in thread sizes M3 to M10 as standard, and lengths from 12mm to 100mm. Thread locking patches can also be supplied to increase vibration resistance.

Non-standard sizes, materials and finishes are available to order as specials, including small volume manufacture, modifications and bespoke parts made to drawings. Minimum order quantities apply.
