Micro Pozi/Phillips Countersunk Thread Forming Screw For Plastic

Micro Pozi/Phillips Countersunk Thread Forming Screws For Plastic are especially designed with a ‘trilobular’ thread form which enables the screw to cut into the plastic material.

Screws can have different thread angles, (30, 40, 45 and 60 degrees etcetera), to enable the screw to cut into various types of thermoplastic material. The trilobular thread form and widely spaced threads make this screw type very easy and quick to install with minimal driving effort required.

As the threads cut through the application, the plastic then reforms – or fills –  around the threads, holding it firmly in place and providing resistance against possible vibration.

They can also be referred to as self tapping screws for plastic.

In addition to a standard range of thread forming screws, we also manufacture specials to customer requirements including; Security Thread Forming Screws, High Grade 10.9 Thread Forming Screws and Thread Forming Screws made to customer drawings.

Available in diameters from M1.4 to M2.6 with various lengths available and in materials such as A2 Stainless and mild Steel, with other diameters and materials available to order.
