U-Bolt Sizes and Dimensions

U-bolt selection depends on the component being secured and the available mounting arrangement. Key specifications include:

• Thread size: the diameter and thread specification of the threaded legs
• Inside diameter: the distance between the two legs of the U-bolt
• Inside height: the available height within the curved section
• Material: selected according to the required strength and environment
• Finish: selected according to the application and environmental exposure

For example, a U-bolt specification may include a metric thread such as M12 together with the required inside diameter and height.
