What grades of brass are available?
Fastenright supplies brass components in two common alloy types:
Brass Cu2 (CuZn37 / CZ108) – A widely used yellow brass composed of around 37% zinc, offering good strength, excellent cold working properties and strong resistance to water and general corrosion.
Brass Cu3 (CuZn39Pb3 / CZ122) – Brass grade, composed of approximately 39% zinc and 3% lead, offering excellent machinability, increased strength and corrosion resistance compared with standard brass.
The appropriate brass grade can be selected according to the manufacturing process, application and required material properties.
