Our Security Wood Screws
Security wood screws from Fastenright are purpose-built for use in timber and wood-based materials where a permanent, tamper-resistant fixing is required.
Their specialised head designs prevent removal using standard tools, making them suitable for applications where public access or interference is a risk.
Installation and Screw Types
To help prevent splitting of the wood during installation, a pilot hole should be drilled before fitting the screw.
Our range includes:
- Clutch head screws – Installable with a standard slotted screwdriver
- Sentinel screws – Require a Pozi driver
- 6 Lobe Pin TX (Pin Torx) – Requires a pin Torx driver for installation and removal
Each type provides a permanent tamper-resistant fixing once installed, with different head styles offering varying levels of access control depending on the application and tooling available.
Additionally, several of our self-tapping security screws can also be used effectively as wood screws where required.
Materials and Special Options
Fastenright supplies security wood screws in zinc-plated steel and A2 stainless steel as standard, depending on the required balance between general corrosion resistance and environmental exposure.
