Often referred to as Alloy C-276 or UNS N10276, this grade is composed of 57% Nickel, 16% Chromium and 16% Molybdenum. It is ductile and provides great resistance to stress corrosion cracking, crevice corrosion and pitting. The high quantities of Chromium and Molybdenum enable high resistance to oxidising and non-oxidising agents – an ideal choice for chemical processing and offshore applications.
Alloy C-22 or UNS N06022 is considered an improved version of C-276, offering greater versatility and better overall corrosion resistance. Made up of 56% Nickel, 22% Chromium and 13% Molybdenum, C-22 has a slightly higher melting point of 1399°C and an increased Chromium content. This provides greater resistance to oxidising agents compared to other grades – significantly improving the lifespan of these Hastelloy Fasteners.
