FasPlas Pozi Pan thread forming screws are designed specifically for use with soft materials such as plastic with three different thread angles available to create the appropriate level of resistance. They are installed in pre-drilled or moulded holes.
- Pozi Drive
- Choice of 30°, 45° and 60° thread angle
- Range of diameters and thread lengths
- Manufactured in steel zinc or zinc & black, with stainless steel also available.
The flank angles available are 30°, 45° and 60° degrees perfect for creating a more accurate thread and greater torque. The design of the screw makes it perfect for softer materials like plastic as the flank angle produces maximum engagement with the contact material with a high pull performance to ensure the screw stays in its designated position.
Thread forming screws work by forming a mating thread into the material into which it is being driven. This is different to thread cutting screws, which are designed for harder materials and actually remove material from the part they are inserted into, therefore the two should not be confused. Thread forming screws are perfect when a high level of resistance is needed in materials such as plastic as it neatly forms a perfect fit, preventing movement or loosening of the screw.
FasPlas Pozi Pan threadforming screws come in a variety of sizes in a range of diameters and lengths. As well as being available in various sizes they are also manufactured in different finishes – zinc steel, black steel and stainless steel.
All stocked sizes are listed below. FasPlas Pozi Pan thread forming screws are available to order in non-standard sizes and finishes, including small volume manufacture, modifications and custom parts to drawings.
