6 Lobe TX Countersunk Thread Rolling Screws, typically to DIN 965 (Form M) / ISO 14581 (Form ME), are intended for use with sheet metals, but can be used with other malleable materials.
These thread rolling screws host a three-lobe or trilobular thread design which enables them to be driven into a pilot hole without the need for thread tapping as a separate process.
During installation, these components form their own threads, pushing excess material into relief areas of the screw. This helps to increase screw retention and vibration resistance.
Thread rolling screws also help to avoid loose chips that are often caused by other thread cutting processes. If installed into a countersink, the flat head will sit flush with the surface for a clean, aesthetic finish.
6 Lobe TX Countersunk Thread Rolling screws are manufactured from A2 Stainless Steel and Steel Zinc Plated as standard, with Steel Black Plated available on request.
Available at Fastenright in thread sizes M2 to M8, with lengths up to 50mm.
