Brass Hexagon Domed Cap Nuts to DIN 1587, often referred to as Brass Low Type Acorn Nuts or Brass Crowned Hex Nuts, feature a hexagonal body and a domed acorn-shaped head.

These components are primarily designed to conceal and preserve the threaded end of a fastener by preventing contact with the elements, as well as other components.

They offer physical protection against sharp or uneven thread due to their rounded design, while also being utilised for aesthetic purposes.

DIN 1587 Brass Hexagon Domed Cap Nuts provide an attractive appearance compared to an exposed thread. The gold-like colour of Brass also contributes towards a decorative finish.

Available at Fastenright in thread sizes M3 to M24. Diameters M12 and above feature a thread undercut (g2) for extra thread relief.

Hexagon Domed Cap Nuts can be supplied in other materials on request. This includes the likes of Steel, Stainless Steel, Nylon, Aluminium and Titanium.

Non-standard sizes, materials and finishes are available to order as specials, including small volume manufacture, modifications and bespoke parts made to drawings. Minimum order quantities apply.
