Brass Wing Nuts American Form (DIN 315 A)

SKU: BRN09 Categories: , , ,

American Form Brass Wing Nuts, often referred to as Brass Butterfly Nuts or Wingnuts, conform to DIN 315 A standard and feature a central conical section with internal thread.

They host two elongated wings or ears that protrude from either side which are both thinner and more rectangular compared to German Form Wing Nuts. Their shape and size allows the component to be fastened by hand without the need for additional tools – great for applications that require frequent assembly and disassembly.

While being suitable for use with any matching bolt or screw, Brass American Form Wing Nuts to DIN 315 A can be coupled with DIN 316 American Form Wing Screws, creating a fastener that is easily adjustable from both ends.

Designed for low torque applications and often found in musical instruments such as drum kits and cymbal stands, as well as some household furniture – mainly due to the acoustic properties and decorative finish that Brass provides.

These fasteners are highly durable whilst offering water resistance and non-magnetic properties, making them suitable for outdoor use or within sensitive electronic equipment.

Available at Fastenright in thread sizes from M3 to M16 as standard, with additional sizes available to order.

Non-standard sizes, materials and finishes are available to order as specials, including small volume manufacture, modifications and custom parts made to drawings.
