These Button Head Seal Screws feature an Under Head Seal instead of an o-ring that is permanently fused to the bearing surface of the fastener.
Often selected in place of traditional gaskets, these components are designed to prevent the leakage of fluids and gases under pressure while maintaining fastener strength. The durable seal compresses during installation to fill the void between the bearing surface and counter bore.
This provides a gasket-type seal with excellent resistance to a wide range of automotive fluids and chemicals such as alcohol, gasoline, kerosene, oil, diesel fuel and hydraulic fluids. They also prevent galvanic corrosion between dissimilar materials.
Button Head Seal Screws with Under Head Seal provide a cost-effective sealing solution – supplied with a much shorter lead time compared to standard o-ring fasteners. The green seal does not shrink or dry out over time for high reusability. Special coloured seals are available on request.
