High Corrosion Resistant Hexagon Nuts are strong options for applications that cause fasteners to be prone to stress corrosion cracking, crevice corrosion and erosion.
They can often be used in chemical processing, petrochemicals and the power industry as well as other areas – and are available in Duplex Stainless Steel, 1.4529 HCR Steel and A5 Steel.
Duplex Stainless Steel Hexagon Nuts can be characterised by high yield strength, higher than that of the annealed strength of the same product in A2 and A4 stainless steel. They host improved corrosion resistance, which means they are able to be used across applications which find various forms of corrosion prevalent within them. Duplex Hex Nuts can be found in seawater equipment and more, but they cannot be used above temperatures above 600 degrees.
1.4529 HCR Steel Hexagon Nuts host an increased corrosion resistance and improved resistance to stress corrosion cracking – and are often found in pipeline systems, seawater equipment and crystallisation plants.
A5 Steel Hexagon Nuts are exceptional within heavy applications and can withstand high levels of pressure or tension. They are often found within marine applications.
Also available in a self-locking form, and in diameters from M5 to M36 as standard.
Special sizes are available, as well as a special material in the form of Super Duplex Stainless Steel – which is a popular material for high corrosion resistant fasteners.
