High Corrosion Resistant Threaded Rods come in a number of forms, spanning across materials including A5 Steel, 1.4529 HCR Steel and Duplex Stainless Steel.
A5 Steel Threaded Rods are ideal for heavy applications and are designed to withstand very high levels of pressure and tension. More often than not, they are found within support systems across a number of applications, often put to work in connecting two materials (such as wood, concrete or metal) together and used to stabilise structures.
1.4529 HCR Steel Threaded Rods are characterised by increased resistance to stress corrosion cracking, excellent corrosion resistance and widescale approval for use in construction. They can be found in a number of applications; including concentration and crystallisation plants, offshore technology, pipeline systems and much more.
Duplex Stainless Steel Threaded Rods are characterised by their high yield strength and hold twice the annealed yield strength than A2 and A4 stainless steel threaded rods, which is part of the reason that this material is used heavily. They host improved corrosion resistance, which means they are able to be used across applications where stress corrosion cracking, crevice corrosion, pitting, erosion and general corrosion are all prevalent. This is why it can often be found in areas such as chemical processing, petrochemicals and seawater equipment. It can not be used above temperatures above 600 degrees.
Duplex Threaded Rods are available from M4 to M45 as standard, whereas 1.4529 HCR and A5 are available in M5 to M36. Lengths for all materials range from one to three metres. More diameters and lengths are available to order as specials.
Also available as a special order in Super Duplex Stainless Steel, a popular material due to their significantly high strength and corrosion resistance compares to other alloys.
