Pozi Mushroom Head Captive Screws, otherwise known as Cross Recess Mush Head Reduced Shank Captive Screws, feature a Cross Recess drive and a wide dome-shaped head.
Captive screws host a reduced shank below the head that prevents full removal from their target housing – often used to secure safety and inspection covers, as well as for other safety applications and those where regular maintenance is required.
Pozi drives are an improved version of the traditional Phillips drive with four wings in each corner – installed and partially removed with a Pozi screwdriver or insert bit. This reduces the likelihood of cam-out and enables higher torque to be achieved.
The mushroom head offers a low-profile design which protrudes slightly from its target housing – ideal for applications that have space restrictions or limited clearance. We supply a wide variety of Captive Screws suitable for most applications and assemblies.
Pozi Mushroom Head Captive Screws are manufactured from A2 Stainless Steel as standard, with other materials and finishes available to order.
