TX Micro Profile Head Captive Screws feature a 6 Lobe Torx drive with a low profile head design. This is flatter than most types of screw – perfect for situations with limited space where other types would not fit e.g. pan or cheese screws.
Once fastened, the screw sits flush to provide an aesthetic appearance. The hexalobular drive enables use in high torque applications and offers an increased resistance to cam-out compared to standard drives – installed or removed using a torx wrench or insert bit.
TX Micro Profile Head Captive Screws host an unthreaded portion below the head, often referred to as the reduced shank. Once installed, they remain ‘captive’ to the fastening material preventing the screw from falling out – typically used to secure panels that require maintenance.
Manufactured from A2 Stainless Steel as standard, which is also available in either light or dark Bronze plated. Other materials are available on request including Steel Zinc and Nickel, both of which can be black plated.
Available at Fastenright in a variety of diameters and lengths, with thread sizes from M2 to M6 available as standard.
A range of non-captive TX Micro Profile Head Screws and Aluminium TX Micro Profile Head Screws are also available, as well as Coloured Micro Profile Head Screws for a decorative finish.
Bespoke sizes, materials and finishes are available to order as specials, including small volume manufacture, modifications and custom parts made to drawings – minimum order quantities apply.
d1 and L1 dimensions can be to customer specification.
