These Reduced Countersunk Rivet Nuts help to create a strong thread in thin sheets of material, when the thickness is too small to tap a conventional thread, for high strength fastening from bolts and other threaded articles.

Their full hexagon body can be inserted into hexagon drilled holes which prevent the rivet nut from turning or spinning after installation.

The open end style of the rivet nuts allows the stud, or male threaded component, to thread through the rivet nut without limiting the length or protrusion of the male threaded part.

With a reduced countersunk head, this allows the rivet nut to be installed in applications without extra hole preparation and provides a flush fit within the application and allows them to be installed in pre-coated applications.

These Reduced Countersunk Hexagon Rivet Nuts with a smooth body and closed end are installed using a special tool with a threaded stud, which engages with internal threads within the rivet and pulls upwards. This deforms the unthreaded section of the rivet nut under the reverse side of the material – providing a high strength permanent thread in thin sheet materials.

Available in diameters from M4 to M12 to suit various grip ranges. Stocked as standard in zinc plated steel, A2 and A4 stainless and aluminium.

Other materials, sizes and bespoke requirements can be manufactured to order.
