Electro Brass Plated Finish Screws, Fasteners and Fixings
An electro brass plated finish is often directly used to finish polished iron or as an intermediate layer for subsequent nickel plating. In use with steel, it’s usually used to facilitate rubber adhesion.
Brass plated steel is a cost-effective alternative to solid brass and has improved strength and outstanding formability, enabling improved production of demanding shapes.
Some of the substrates that are often plated are, with the bottom two, when plated with brass, considered an alternative to stainless steels or copper-based alloys:
- Low Carbon Steel
- High Strength Steel
- Stainless Steel
With excellent performance features, such as extended tool life, brass plated finishing is a quality finish for a number of fasteners, especially those that require tight dimensional tolerances. This finish is often used within the automotive industry.
