Geomet Finish Screws, Fasteners and Fixings
There are a number of types of Geomet® Finish for a variety of fixing products, applications and more, but Geomet® 500 was specifically developed for fasteners and hosts an integral lubricant for coating them to assist in consistent tightening performance.
Geomet® coatings in general host a number of quality properties, including the fact it is chromium-free, an aesthetically pleasing metallic silver-grey appearance and it’s water-based chemistry. Other impressive characteristics include a maintained performance at elevated temperatures, good resistance to mechanical and chemical damage and an ability to conduct electricity – making it suitable for most applications.
The finish is formulated with an aqueous base and is composed of zinc and aluminium flakes.
When small parts, which includes most fasteners, are treated, they would require a minimum of two coatings to ensure even coverage.
