Phosphor Bronze is family of a copper based alloys typically composed of up to 11% Tin and a small quantity of Phosphorus. Most types feature additional elements such as Iron, Zinc and Lead.

Phosphor Bronze Screws, Fasteners and Fixings

The origins of Phosphor Bronze, or Phos Bronze, date back over 100 years where it was often used in the creation of ship propellers and a range of musical instruments.

It is well known for its high strength and strong corrosion resistance, while also providing a relatively high melting point and a low coefficient of friction.

Modern uses of Phosphor Bronze include components within electrical devices due their non-magnetic properties, as well as coastal or marine applications.

Phosphor Bronze screws, fasteners and fixings can be supplied in various grades which all differ slightly in terms of composition and performance.

Fastenright can supply parts in grades C510, C519, C521, C544, PB1, PB2, PB3, PB101, PB102, PB103 and PB104.
