6 Lobe TX Drive Wood-to-Metal Dowels offer two different thread types at either end of the fastener. Often referred to as Hanger Bolts, they are commonly used to suspend material from timber e.g. sheet metal and electrical wiring, while being an essential part of furniture manufacture and assembly.
The wood screw thread is installed into timber while the machine thread is used to attach objects – which is then secured using a matching nut. They feature a hexalobular socket that enables installation with a standard Torx screwdriver or insert bit.
These Wood to Metal Hanger Bolts feature an unthreaded shank in between both threads. This is typically hexagonal in shape to provide an alternative installation method with a spanner or wrench, although some parts do feature a rounded shank.
Manufactured from Steel Zinc plated as standard, these 6 Lobe TX Drive Wood to Metal Dowels are available in thread sizes from M6 to M12 as standard, with a wide range of lengths to choose from. The length of each thread type can vary, therefore please contact us for further details.
