Button Head O-Ring Seal Screws are a reliable, high performance sealing solution specifically developed for applications where the threat of contamination is a concern.
Traditional screws are often impacted by the environment in which they are used. Their structural integrity is reduced over time by external contaminants such as air, water, and micro particles.
Seal screws resolve this issue through the use of an “O” ring positioned within a groove under the head of the screw, typically made of Silicone rubber. Once installed, the O-ring provides a perfect 360° seal around the underside of button head to prevent foreign matter from entering or exiting an application.
The metal-to-metal contact is not affected by the O-ring which ensures a tight fixing. Optional thread locking patches can be provided to increase vibration resistance and preserve the life of the O-ring.
The O-ring itself can be supplied in a huge range of materials to meet the requirements of the application, including the likes of Nitrile rubber (Buna-N), EPDM, Viton, Fluorosilicone, and many more.
