CD Weld Studs Threaded

Threaded CD Weld Studs are created to DIN 32501 standard and are designed for welding to thin gauge sheet metal. They are also known as Threaded Capacitor Discharge Studs.

Hosting cold-formed pips at the end of the studs, they are applied using a welding gun, with the ignition tips at the base of the stud creating an arc which melts the base of the stud and the fixing surface, creating an instant fusion weld.

CD Stud Welding eliminates the need for drilling, tapping, punching, riveting, gluing or screwing, and does not negatively disfigure the aesthetic appearance of the sheet material.

Manufactured in Aluminium, Mild Steel and Stainless Steel – with other materials such as Brass and Copper Coated Steel available should your application require it.

Available from Fastenright in sizes ranging from M3 to M10 as standard.

Non-standard sizes, materials and finishes are available to order as specials, including small volume manufacture, modifications and bespoke parts made to drawings. Minimum order quantities apply.
