CD Weld Studs Unthreaded

Unthreaded CD Weld Studs are designed for welding to thin gauge sheet material. They can also be referred to as Unthreaded Capacitor Discharge Studs.

They are applied using a welding gun, with the ignition tips at the base of the stud creating an arc which melts the base and the fixing surface, therefore creating a fusion weld. They eliminate the need for drilling, tapping, punching, riveting, glueing and screwing, whilst also having little to no effect on the colouring of the reverse of the sheet metal.

Available as standard in stainless steel (blue icon image) and mild steel (black icon image), with other materials available.

Sizes range from M3 to M6, with other sizes also available.
