Micro Slotted Set Screws with a Flat Point are made to DIN 551 standard. They are installed via the use of a standard flat blade screwdriver and can also be known as Slotted Grubscrews.
The slotted head is generally not advised to be used alongside a power driver, as the driver tends to slip out and can cause damage to the surface it is being applied to.
Micro Slotted Set Screws with Flat Point are used within applications to secure objects together, within or against another object. These screws are ‘headless’ and fully threaded so that there is no head projecting past the major diameter.
The slotted drive is turned until it meets the inner object, before exerting a pressure on the inner object which creates a clamping force.
Available in Steel, A2 and A4 Stainless Steel and a multitude of other materials are also available to order. Sizes from M1.2 to M3 available as standard with larger diameters available.
Non-standard sizes, materials and finishes are available to order as specials, including small volume manufacture, modifications and custom parts made to drawings.
