Micro socket set screws (cone point) to Din 914 have a hexagonal recess and are driven using a hex wrench or insert bit, more efficient to install than slotted screw products as the hex socket drive has more resistance to cam out and can be used with power drivers, enabling faster use and higher torque to be achieved.
Set screws are used in applications to secure objects together, within or against another object. These socket grubscrews are ‘headless’, so there is no head projecting past the major diameter, making this a fully threaded fastener. The socket drive of the set screw is turned until it meets the inner object, then exerting a pressure on the inner object creating a clamping force.
Available from stock in hardened steel 45H, A2 stainless steel and A4 stainless steel. Other materials available on request including brass, aluminium and titanium.Sizes from M1.6 to M3 with larger diameters also available in various materials.
