Micro socket set screws (cup point) to Din 916 have a hexagonal recess and are driven using a hex wrench or insert bit, making them efficient to install, as the hex socket drive resists cam out and can be used with power drivers, enabling fast use and high torque to be achieved.
Set screws are used in applications to secure objects together, within or against another object. Socket grubscrews to Din 916 are ‘headless’ and fully threaded, so there is no head projecting past the major diameter. The socket drive of the set screw is turned until it meets the inner object, then exerting a pressure on the inner object creates a clamping force.
Available from stock in hardened steel 45H, A2 stainless steel and A4 stainless steel. Other materials available on request including brass, aluminium and titanium.
Sizes range from M1.4 to M3 with larger diameters also available in various materials.
