Phillips Spring-Loaded Captive Panel Fasteners

SKU: CPF03 Categories: ,

Phillips Spring-Loaded Captive Panel Fasteners are designed to equip panels and thin sheet metal with fastening hardware. They feature a knurled head for improved operation by hand, as well as a Phillips drive recess for installation with a standard Phillips screwdriver.

These components host a small footprint and are often used for applications with limited access as a result. They can be supplied in two different types:

Self-Clinching Phillips Spring-Loaded Captive Panel Fasteners:

  • This type does not require special hole preparation. It hosts high pushout resistance for a secure fixing.
  • The screw is made from Hardened Carbon Steel with a Nickel plated finish, while the retainer is made from Carbon Steel with a Nickel plated finish.
  • For use in sheet hardness HRB 60 or less in the Rockwell B scale, or HB 107 or less in the Brinell scale.

Flare-Mounted Phillips Spring-Loaded Captive Panel Fasteners:

  • This type does not require high installation force. It is suitable for close centreline-to-edge applications.
  • The screw is made from Hardened Carbon Steel with a Nickel plated finish, while the retainer is made from Aluminium.
  • Installs into any panel hardness.

Available at Fastenright in thread sizes M3 and M4 with two screw lengths. #4 to #8 Unified threads can also be supplied.
