Rivet Nut Corrosion Resistant Flanged Half Hex Open End

Rivet Nut Corrosion Resistant Flanged Half Hex Open End fasteners can fit into a hexagon hole, eliminating the issue for potential turning post-installation. They are often referred to as Rivnuts, Blind Nuts, Thin Sheet Nuts and Nutserts.

These rivet nuts are a form of internally threaded insert and are used in applications where the material (wall) thickness is too small to tap a conventional thread. Using rivet nuts creates a strong thread in thin sheets of material for high strength fastening from bolts and other threaded articles.

The A4 grade Stainless Steel is the most corrosion resistant grade used for fasteners – holding increased percentages of Nickel and Molybdenum – meaning a better resistance against aggressive conditions, acids, chlorides and coastal or marine applications.

Corrosion Resistant Flanged Half Hex Open End Rivet Nuts are installed using a special tool with a threaded stud (nose) that engages with the internal threads of the rivet nut and pulls upwards, in turn deforming the unthreaded section of the rivet nut to expand under the reverse side of the material. This provides a high strength permanent thread in thin sheet material.

Manufactured from A4 Stainless Steel as standard. Available at Fastenright in sizes M4 to M10 as standard.
