Semi-tubular rivets are excellent fasteners join materials together, quickly and inexpensively. They are typically used for lighting, brakes, ladders, binders, duct work, mechanical products, and electronics.
These rivets have a hole in the end of the shank of the rivet (hole-depth less than 112% of the body diameter) and are set by deforming the hole, with either a hand held punch or a purpose built riveting machine (for mass production). Semi-tubular rivets require a pre-drilled hole.
