Vented Cup Point Socket Set Screws are created to the standard of DIN 916, and host a hexagonal recess. They are driven using a hex wrench or insert bit, making the screws much more efficient than slotted screw products as the hex socket drive is more resistant to cam out. They can also be used with power drivers, enabling faster use and higher torque achievements.
They are used in applications to secure objects together, within or against another object. These vented cup point socket set screws are headless, meaning that it does not have a head projecting past the major diameter – making it a fully threaded fastener. The socket drive of the set screw is turned until it meets the inner object, then exerting a pressure on the inner object creating a clamping force.
