Slotted Capstan Captive Screws

Slotted Capstan Captive Screws feature a cylindrical head with several symmetrical holes around its diameter – used to insert cables, wires or levers. This allows tension to be adjusted in fine increments within the application or assembly.

They are an adaptation of Slotted Capstan Screws to DIN 404 standard – designed with an unthreaded portion below their head, also known as a ‘reduced shank’. When used alongside a Threaded Captive Washer, the screws are held “captive” within their housing and cannot be fully removed.

These Slotted Capstan Captive Screws are unique in that they can be driven via both their slotted drive or their symmetrical holes – ideal if there is restricted access to the top of the screw.

Manufactured in A1 Stainless Steel as standard. Also available in more specialised materials such as Titanium, Brass, Nylon, and many more.

Available at Fastenright in thread sizes M3 to M6, and lengths up to 30mm. Optional thread locking patches can also be supplied.

Non-standard sizes, materials and finishes are available to order as specials, including small volume manufacture, modifications and bespoke parts made to drawings. Minimum order quantities apply.
