Titanium Spring Washers, otherwise known as Titanium Split Lock or Split Ring Washers, are designed to reduce vibration and prevent the loosening of components.
Unlike Titanium Flat Washers, they feature a slit in the washer that clamps the nut and mounting surface upon installation. Once fully tightened, the washer exerts tension on the fastener keeping it locked in place – indicated by slight misalignment of the slit.
Suitable for use with both static and dynamic loads – helping to retain the load for static applications and functioning as a flexible spring in dynamic applications.
Titanium Spring Washers are often utilised for their lightweight characteristics whilst retaining a high degree of strength. They are also non-magnetic and host great chemical and corrosion resistance – suitable for use in marine environments.
Manufactured from Grade 2 Titanium as standard, with various grades of Titanium available to order. Other materials such as Aluminium can also be supplied.
Available now with internal diameters from 3.1mm (M3) to 10.2mm (M10) as standard, with either a square profile to DIN 7980 or rectangular profile to DIN 127.
Non-standard sizes, materials and finishes are available to order as specials, including small volume manufacture, modifications and bespoke parts made to drawings – minimum order quantities apply.
