Wavy Washers

Wavy washers offer a accurate solution for situations where space is limited or when small deflections are required, and are designed to provide a compensating spring force or absorb shock when under load.

These characteristics can be used to pre-load shafts or bearings, absorb shock or compensate for differing dimensional variations.

In pre-loading bearings, wavy washers can increase bearing life and performance by applying a load on the face of the bearing, and the axial force applied reduces bearing noise and eliminate vibrations.

Common materials for wavy washers include stainless steel, nickel base alloy, copper base alloy or bronze.
