Brass Slotted Set Screws Flat Point (DIN 551)

Brass Slotted Set Screws Flat Point, otherwise known as Brass Slot Flat Point Grub Screws, are typically manufactured in accordance with DIN 551 / ISO 4766.

These components are designed to secure objects within or against another object. They are fully threaded and do not feature a protruding point, meaning the base of the fastener is completely flat.

The flat point causes less damage to the target housing during installation with a flat blade screwdriver. However, this also results in less holding power compared to other types of set screw.

Flat point grub screws align well against ground flats and are often used with thin walls or softer materials.

Available at Fastenright in thread sizes M3 to M6, with lengths up to 25mm. Optional thread locking patches are available on request for improved retention and vibration resistance.

Flat Point Brass Slotted Set Screws can also be supplied in other materials such as Stainless Steel, Nylon, Aluminium and Titanium.
