IN10 Insert nuts are ideal for use in soft woods such as pine, larch or red cedar. They can also be used for laminate boards such as plywood, or in composite materials such as chipboard, as well as certain kinds of soft plastics. They are available in diameters from 6.5mm to 14mm and in lengths from 8mm to 18mm to suit many different applications.
These fasteners have a standardised internal thread from M4 to M10 and an unthreaded lead. They are manufactured in steel (self colour or zinc plated) and stainless steel. With this kind of fastening only one size of pre-bored pilot hole measuring between 5.5mm to 12.5mm needs to be made, so decreasing production time and costs. The slot drive means that these insert nuts can be installed manually or using a semi or fully automated process.
Available in a range of sizes – see stock chart below for full specifications. Non standard sizes available to order.
