Left-Hand Thread Trapezium Threaded Rods, to DIN 103 or ISO 2901/2903, host a 30° thread angle and a trapezoidal thread form – the same shape as an isosceles trapezium.
Often referred to as Trapezoidal Threaded Rods or Trapezoidal Lead Screws, they feature a left-hand thread or reverse thread which can prevent gradual loosening of components in certain applications.
This left-hand thread is also used to drive Round Left-Hand Trapezium Threaded Nuts and Hexagon Left-Hand Trapezium Threaded Nuts in the opposite direction, or to create incompatibility with right-hand threaded components – typically for safety purposes.
They can support large loads due to their high strength and are often utilised as a power screw or lead screw in a wide range of industrial machinery.
