Security 2-Hole Countersunk Head Captive Screws

Security 2-Hole Countersunk Captive Screws host a flat head and a unique two-hole drive system designed for low to medium torque applications.

The two-pin drive, otherwise known as a Snake Eye, Pig Nose, Two Pin or Spanner drive, offers a unique tamper-proof design and requires a special 2 Hole insert bit for installation and removal.

These captive screws are intended for use with Threaded Captive Washers and feature an unthreaded portion below the head – often referred to as the reduced shank. Once fastened, the screws are held “captive” within their housing and cannot be fully removed.

Note: The two holes in the head can be drilled at different distances (between centres), therefore it is advisable to always purchase the screws along with corresponding bits. We also recommend the purchase of additional drive bits as they are prone to bending or breaking after prolonged use.

Manufactured from A2 / 304 and A4 / 316 Stainless Steel as standard, with other materials available to order.

Available at Fastenright in thread sizes M3 to M6, with lengths from 12mm to 50mm. UNC and UNF threads are also available. Optional thread locking patches can be supplied for increased vibration resistance.

Non-standard sizes, materials and finishes are available to order as specials, including small volume manufacture, modifications and bespoke parts made to drawings. Minimum order quantities apply.
