All Metal Self Locking Nut Turret Type

Turret Type All Metal Self Locking Nuts are a one piece locknut with a turret section positioned above the hexagonal body. This section hosts two de-pitched slots which form the effective self locking mechanism.

They are suitable for use in a range of demanding environments and conditions. Depending on the material and finish, they can operate within a corrosive atmosphere and temperatures ranging from -200°C to 400°C.

Once installed, the slotted turret section reverts to its original form and each slot grips the shank or thread of the bolt on opposite sides. This ensures a secure fixing with high resistance to movement and vibration.

These components are often found in engineering, construction and automotive applications, as well as those that require a reusable self locking solution. All Metal Self Locking Flange Nuts are also available at Fastenright.

Turret Type All Metal Self Locking Nuts are manufactured from 304 / A2 Stainless Steel, 316 / A4 Stainless Steel, and Steel grades 8 & 10. Non-standard materials are also available on request including Brass, Bronze, and Titanium.

Available at Fastenright in thread sizes M2 to M48. UNC / UNF / BSW / BSF imperial threads can also be supplied.

Non-standard sizes, materials and finishes are available to order as specials, including small volume manufacture, modifications and bespoke parts made to drawings. Minimum order quantities apply.
