These Low Head TX Cap Screws are for use in machine construction, the furniture industry, sanitary construction and heating construction – as well as use in damp rooms and outdoor applications that do not find themselves exposed to significant levels of chlorides or sulphur dioxides.
The TX driving feature allows the user to insert said screws safely, and easily – reducing the risk of the screw coming out again – with no wobbling or come out effect.
The use of austenitic Stainless Steel in the Cap Screws are perfect for extended outdoor use, for a number of reasons.
Austenitic Steels are non-magnetic when in their annealed condition, and have good formability and weldability – but perhaps most importantly they have a low yield stress, a relatively high tensile strength and are generally more durable and corrosion-resistant.
Created to ISO 14580, but baring similarities to DIN 7984, these screws are often used where space is limited and are manufactured with either a partial or fully threaded shank.
TX Cap Screws are available as M2 to M8 as standard, with special diameters and lengths available to order.
Non-standard sizes, materials and finishes are available to order as specials, including small volume manufacture, modifications and custom parts made to drawings.
