System Zero Security Captive screws feature a domed head and an external non-slip drive that helps to avoid damage to adjacent components. They are two-way, reusable fixings which are ideal for applications where regular maintenance is required.
Captive screws are designed with an unthreaded portion below the head, often referred to as the reduced shank. Once installed, this screw is designed to self retain – increasing safety and preventing any loss of fasteners.
The System Zero drive is designed to resist cam-out which makes the screw suitable for higher torque applications. They require a special System Zero Security Insert Bit for installation and removal – also available at Fastenright.
Security System Zero Captive Screws are manufactured in Steel and A2 Stainless Steel as standard, with other materials and finishes available on request.
