Pozi Pan Head Reduced Shank Captive Screws combine the captive solution of a captive screw with the compatibility of a Pozi drive.
These components are an adaptation of DIN 7985Z with a plain portion leaving a reduced core diameter. They feature an unthreaded portion below the head, sometimes referred to as the reduced shank.
When installed alongside a Threaded Captive Washer, the captive screw is designed self retain which prevents any loss of fasteners.
The pan head hosts a flat underside, providing a large mating surface area for increased retention – while the domed profile gives an aesthetic finish to the intended application or assembly.
Pozi Pan Head Reduced Shank Captive Screws are often used within safety equipment as required by EU law, as well as within manufacturing and military applications.
