Hexolabular TX Pan Head Captive Screws are designed to be self-retaining after installation which prevents the screws from being misplaced.
They feature an unthreaded portion below the head, often referred to as a reduced shank, which at times host a captive washer.
Often utilised for safety reasons, captive screws are an EU legal requirement on some equipment.
Captive screws are available in A2 and A4 stainless steel as standard, but can be custom manufactured in a range of materials such as aluminium and brass.
This screw is an adaptation of DIN 7985 with a plain portion leaving a reduced core diameter, and they can be produced with a thread locking anti-vibration patch.
Available in a wide range of sizes, materials and finishes, with specials available to order and customer-focused changes are also available.
d1 and L1 dimensions can be to customer specification.
