2-Hole Mush Head Security Screws
- Aesthetically pleasing security solution
- Low to medium security resistance
- Re-usable two-way drive
2-Hole Mush Hea Security Machine Screws host two holes drilled into their head, and require a special insert bit to insert and remove them.
The two holes can be drilled at different distances – meaning that it is advisable to always purchase the screws and corresponding bits via the same supplier.
Suitable for low to medium torque applications, this reusable fixing is an ideal security fastener for applications where regular maintenance is required and the aesthetic appearance of the application is of high importance.
The 2-Hole Security Drive is more prone to cam-out than other security screws and the drive bits, at times, can be prone to bending or breaking after prolonged use. We advise our customers to purchase additional bits as back up.
Offering a medium security resistance against vandals and thieves, the 2 Hole Mush Head Security Screws are harder to remove than a standard pan head version but are generally used in areas where aesthetics are more important than a high level of security, such as on trains and in public lifts.
Within the industry, these products can also be referred to as Snake Eye, Pig Nose, Two Pin and Spanner Drive, and they can often be used alongside a range of nuts including wave, shear, kinmar and Pin Torx.
Available to be made to order, including small volume manufacture, with modifications and as custom parts to drawings, in a range of sizes and specials also available.
