Shear Bolt Anchor Dome Head (Sleeve)

  • Permanent security anchor, ideal where maintenance is not required
  • Installed with standard spanner or socket
  • Hexagonal nut snaps off, leaving a smooth, tamper resistant cone
  • Typically used in prisons, banks, construction and public environments

Offering one of the best one-way permanent security solutions available on the market, the vandal-proof Dome Head Shear Bolt Anchor is also referred to as a Snap-Off Nut Anchor, Break Away Nut Anchor, Break Away Head Anchor, Shear Bolt Anchor, Security Snap Off Anchor or Perma Bolt Anchor.

Hosting a conical shaped head with a hexagonal nut at the top, the hexagonal part snaps off when the nut is fully tightened with a standard spanner or socket until the pressure exceeds the maximum torque limit. This leaves a plain, tamper-resistant cone shape.

This one-way permanent fixing is the ideal security ground anchor for applications where maintenance is not required such as perimeter fencing, railings, security windows and door frames. They can also be found in prisons, banks, public environments and construction.

Domed Head Shear Bolt Anchors are available from Fastenright in Stainless Steel.

As standard, these fasteners are available in diameters and lengths of M8 x 60, M8 x 75 and M8 x 100.

Non-standard sizes and materials are available to order as specials, including custom parts made to drawings.
