TX Low Socket Head Captive Screws host an unthreaded shank below their head which is often referred to as a reduced thread.
The TX drive minimises the potential of cam-out and increases the general tool life of the captive screw.
They provide a secure fastening and avoid the loss or damage of a fastener within an assembly, as the screw can not be fully removed from its housing once installed.
Often used to fasten sheet metal or captive panels, the screws are also designed to aid compliance with the EU directive that requires the use of captive fasteners on protective guards on machinery.
Available as standard in A2 stainless steel with optional thread locking patches.
Specials, in a number of different sizes, materials and finishes are available to order.
